SamplesSerum, Plasma , tissue homogenates,Cell culture supernates,Other biological fluids.
-
SensitivityThe limit of detection of Human Lp-PLA2 defined as the analyte concentration resulting in an absorbance significantly higher than that of the dilution medium (mean plus 2 standard deviations) was determined to be 1.56 IU/mL (mean of 6 independent assays).
-
Intended UseHuman Lp-PLA2 ELISA Kit allows for the in vitro quantitative determination of Lp-PLA2 , concentrations in serum, Plasma , tissue homogenates and Cell culture supernates and Other biological fluids.

Product Description
specificalPrinciple of the assay: This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitative Lp-PLA2 in Human serum, plasma. An antibody specific for Lp-PLA2 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any Lp-PLA2 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin - conjugated antibody specific for Lp-PLA2 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of Lp-PLA2 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
